This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and no other written solicitation will be issued. Solicitation 12653819Q0016 is issued as a request for quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-73. This is a small business set aside under NAICS code 238990. The small business size standard is $15M. Only small business can participate in this solicitation. Verification of business size will be completed via the vendor's SAM registration. The USDA, ARS, U.S. Meat Animal Research Center (USMARC) has a requirement to extend, inspect, and retract approximately 104 NetPro Protective Canopy shade systems covering a feedlot. The expected period of performance for this work will be 05/01/2019 – 10/31/2019. All shade systems must be extended during the month of May. All shade systems must be retracted during the month of October. Contractor will be expected to perform one inspection of the system between these months and provide a quote to the U.S. Meat Animal Research Center if any repairs are required. Interested parties are to provide firm fixed prices for the below listed contract line items: 1. Extend/Unroll Shade Cloth 2. Mid-Season Inspection 3. Retract/Pull-back Shad Cloth The following documents are attached for review: Shade Structure Drawings, Scope of Work, Standard Form 1449 – Request for Quote with terms & conditions, and applicable wage rates. There will be a site visit for all interested vendors. The government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered.
