THIS IS A PRESOLICIATION NOTICE. A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL WILL BE POSTED ON OR ABOUT JULY 29, 2019. Mark Twain National Forest has a requirement for construction services to Chip seal a trail and parking area. Forest Service is seeking qualified contractors to provide all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary for construction of the project. The project site is located near Ava, MO. PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $25,000.00-$100,000.00 SET-ASIDE: 100% Total-Small Business The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 237310. The small business size standard is $36.5 million. PROJECT OVERVIEW: Work includes but is not limited to: • Install temporary traffic control devices • Layout parking area and establish construction limits • Layout trail area and establish construction limits • Mobilize equipment • Clean, prepare and patch potholes as necessary • Clean and prepare 1650 square yards of trail head parking area for chip seal placement • Clean and prepare 1575 square yards of walking trail for chip seal placement • Apply chip seal oil of 578 gallons to trail head parking area for chip seal placement • Place 1650 square yards of chip seal aggregate to trail head parking area • Apply chip seal oil of 552 gallons to walking trail for chip seal placement • Place 1575 square yards of chip seal aggregate to walking trail • Paint 7 standard parking lines of 30 feet long and a 4 inch width for parking areas • Paint 1 disabled parking lines of 30 feet long and a 4 inch width for parking areas • Install 10 wheel stops • Demobilize equipment • Remove temporary traffic control devices The POC for this project will be Chelsea DeVivo.
