This acquisition is to furnish all labor, materials, equipment and other incidentals to install underlayment, ridge vent, and asphalt architectural shingles on bldg. # 42913 (Head house). This project will also involve replacement of several pieces of existing 4'x8'x1/2" plywood. The Delaware Lab, head house is a approximately 6200 sq. ft. concrete and wood construction. Built in 1995, The Head house has been used as an office/storage space, and is attached to an existing "Green house'. The existing 20 year, 3-tab, asphalt shingles were installed in 1995 and are at the end of their lifecycle, and are becoming a maintenance issue. This with the fact that several pieces of plywood were not properly attached to the trusses, is causing the singles to separate, and causing leaks. This project will involve the removal and disposal of approximately 6200 sq. ft. of existing roofing materials (approx. 62 squares), as well as the replacement of several pieces of ½" plywood underlayment, cover with new vapor barrier, a minimum of 36" of Weather-Gard, Ice and snow barrier, install new aluminum drip edge, new 30 year architectural shingles and a continuous vented ridge cap. There is also a small "porch" roof connecting head house to existing green house, any valley will have to have aluminum flashing install before shingle installation. The site visit for this project will be March 13th at 10:00 AM Eastern Time at the USDA Forest Service, Northern Research Station, 359 Main Road, Delaware, Ohio 43015. This project will be total small business set aside. The estimate value of this project is less than $25,000.00.
