The pigment is essential for targeted dispersal of sterile flies supporting the NWS Readiness and Response Policy Initiative. Competition is restricted to DayGlo Color Corporation because their pigment is the only dye tested and approved for NWS larvae applications, in compliance with the Secretary of Agriculture's strategy.
