The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Veterinary Services Division (VS), is seeking manufacturers to provide plastic tamper evident low frequency radio frequency identification (LF RFID) 840 USDA Official ID button-type swine approved ear tags. These tags are utilized nationwide for the official identification of swine. The manufacturer must be a manufacturer of a USDA approved official low frequency 840 devices approved for swine, or the offeror must have submitted an acceptable application for approval prior to the solicitation closing date. Email traceability@usda.gov for approval requirements and application form The Contractor(s) shall furnish all the needed supplies, shipping, and equipment, to provide the ear tags including applicators. The award of one or more Firm-Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) commercial supply contract(s) are anticipated for these RFID ear tags. The anticipated period of performance for this contract is five years from the date of award. Interested manufacturers must be approved USDA approved low frequency 840 device manufacturers and the tags and applicators (devices) offered must be approved program devices, or the offerors must have submitted an acceptable application for. approval prior to award.
