The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, Plant Protection and Quarantine, Spotted Lantern Fly Facility in Edinburg, TX, is in need of a new three year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract to supply circle trunk trap capable of capturing the spotted lanternfly, Lycorma delicatula. Insect traps and attractants are sensitive detectors of insect populations at the group, genus, or species level. Insect trapping allows for detection and monitoring of non-indigenous insect pests and aids in a variety of control strategies. If not detected, monitored, and managed in the early stages of a new infestation, these pests can cause tremendous damage. The cost of eradication could be in the millions of dollars. This requirement is being issued as a Small Business Set set-aside in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.219-6 (Mar 2020). In accordance with Agricultural Acquisition Regulation (AGAR )452.219-70 (NOV 1996) Size Standard and NAICS Code Information is : NAICS – 325320 Pesticide and Other Chemical Manufacturing Small Business Size Standard – 1500 Employees If an interested party’s quote package has not completed all of the items listed on the first page of Attachment_1_Solicitation 12639523Q0235 - Instructions, the quote may be considered incomplete for evaluation purposes and no further consideration will be given, thereby making quote ineligible for award.
