This notice is to inform the market that it is the objective of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS), Cotton & Tobacco Program is to procure one (1) Colorimeter Instrument operating with Xenon illumination and photodiodes. This instrument would serve as the new master instrument for the establishment of color (Rd and +b) and trash (Percent Area and Particle Count) standards and calibration and evaluation materials for use with High Volume Instruments (HVI) for the accurate color and trash testing of cotton fiber samples.
