All cost to include but not limit to: overhead, general and administrative, profit, insurance, and transportation. See Line Items for individual delivery address details (vi) Description of Requirement: Specifications Following are the specifications each product delivered shall meet. Product Description: EC Fertilizer Triple Super Phosphate, granular, Type 0-46-0, Product Type: granular, solid Delivered in plastic bags 50lb-pound bags, palletized NOTE: CFTEP requires product to be sold in 50lb bags to alleviate storage constraints and properly control usage at the Dipping Vat sites under CFTEP administration. CFTEP administers the fertilizer in 50lb increments to control and adjust the PH balance of the dipping vats to prevent harm to the cattle being treated. Program Background: USDA APHIS Veterinary Services Cattle Fever Tick Eradication Program (CFTEP) employees monitor the southern border of Texas, capturing stray livestock and maintaining a permanent quarantine zone (PQZ) for eradication of the cattle fever tick from Mexico. Employees routinely transport livestock to holding pens for diagnostic testing, owner contact, and transportation to auction markets if needed. The PQZ encompasses nine offices and over 500 miles along the southern border of Texas. Project Details: The Cattle Fever Tick Eradication Program (CFTEP) is requesting the timely procurement of the triple super phosphate, granular, 0-46-0 order to successfully maintain accurate PH level of coumaphos VATS used to treat cattle across South Texas. Coumaphos (CoRal) is a product exclusively produced for the United Stated Department of Agriculture (USDA) Cattle Fever Tick Eradication Program (CFTEP) used to treat cattle to control ticks, mites, flies, and fleas. To adequately treat cattle CFTEP protocol requires running cattle through permanent underground VATS in which cattle get fully submerged for proper treatment. For the treatment to be effective, a proper PH water level and coumaphos concentration is required in these VATS. If PH level in our VATS is too high or too low, it can lead to death of livestock treated in our VATS. Triple Super Phosphate is used to maintain a healthy PH level allowing for the treatment to be effective. A sack of triple super phosphate is kept at each VAT and submerged after every livestock treatment. A sample is taken before and after treatment and sent to NVS Laboratory and results provide information of PH levels and coumaphos concentration levels. This allows trained inspectors to adjust levels by adding more water and/or adjusting triple super phosphate and coumaphos concentration levels. Contractor Performance Requirements:The vendor shall coordinate all shipments with the Veterinary Services point of contact. This includes keeping Veterinary Services informed of proposed delivery dates as well as notification prior to sending any shipments.
