The USDA has an ongoing requirement for animal backtag cement. Veterinary Services uses back tag cement for use in adhering water resistant back tags to cattle and swine for health identification purposes in connection with the Market Cattle Identification (MCI) Program and the Market Swine Testing (MST) Program. The USDA intends to solicit quotes from capable manufacturers to enter into a five year IDIQ contract with USDA. The USDA anticipates that the solicitation RFQ will be posted to SAM.gov on or before close of business Aug 5, 2022. Please hold all inquiries until after the full solicitation is posted.
