The USDA Animal Plant Health Inspection Service, Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) intends to award one multiple year IDIQ contract to purchase the following items: Jackson Trap Bodies Version 1 Jackson Trap Bodies Version 2 Hanging Wires Trap Inserts Lure Clips The traps will be used primarily for the surveillance and monitoring program associated with several pests including fruit flies. The USDA Animal Plant Health Inspection Service, Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) intends to award one multiple year IDIQ contract to purchase the following items: Jackson Trap Bodies Version 1 Jackson Trap Bodies Version 2 Hanging Wires Trap Inserts Lure Clips The Jackson Trap is utilized in a variety of insect monitoring programs for highly destructive insects. The Fruit Fly Program and several other PPQ programs utilize the Jackson Trap in conjunction with semiochemicals to effectively monitor populations. Without the requested traps and parts, effectively defining infestations might not be possible and the ultimate cost of an eradication or control could exceed millions of dollars should this trap not be available. The solicitation will be posted by 01/07/2022.
