The Mexican Fruit Fly (MexFly) Rearing Facility for the last 28 years has been rearing fruit flies in the Rio Grande Valley. The current production of pupae is currently set at 150 million pupae per week. The citric acid is used to balance the Ph of the fruit fly diet. The requirement will be set aside for small businesses under NAICS 325199 with a small business size standard of 1250 employees.
