This is a firm-fixed price contract with a 1-year base period followed by four, 1-year option periods. The contract is for janitorial services at the USDA, APHIS, PPQ, Golden Nematode Facility. Price includes all costs necessary to accomplish the work (including but not limited to all labor, supervision, supplies, equipment, and tools). The facility consists of one building, a multipurpose office and is contained within a chain link fence. Five rooms of varying size are used as office space, one large room is used as lunch/conference room and a smaller room is used as a kitchen (refrigerator, sink, and microwave). A dumpster is located outside the office building. The office is open Monday – Friday (excluding national holidays), hours of business are 0700-1630 All work under this contract must be performed after business hours or on the weekend, keys to the entrance gate and entrance code & key for the building will be provided. Vendor shall supply all labor, products, equipment, and tools necessary to do the work. 1.1 ONCE PER WEEK Empty all wastebaskets; dispose of trash in dumpster outside. Spot clean or damp wipe and dust desktops Dust tops of furniture, counters, tops of cabinets, windowsills, and door moldings Vacuum spiderwebs from all areas * (NEW) Clean and sanitize restroom fixtures, sinks and urinals (2 restrooms) Spot clean doors, light switches, walls Vacuum all carpeted areas Sweep and damp mop floors Buff all vinyl floors, as needed 1.2 ONCE PER YEAR (Spring) Strip and wax all floors 1.3 TWICE PER YEAR (Spring and Fall) Wash inside and outside of windows 1.4 CLOSING INSTRUCTIONS: Arrange furniture Secure exterior doors and windows Turn off lights 1.5 QUALITY ASSURANCE: The contractor shall have a system in place to make sure that services conform to the contract requirements and that the work done meets high standards of quality. The contractor shall submit a written quality assurance plan to the Contracting Officer prior to starting work.
