The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) may have Grasshopper/Mormon Cricket Aerial Spray Programs in 2021. As a result, USDA APHIS MRPBS AAMD Contracting Activity at the Minneapolis Business Site will be contracting for control treatment services for aerial spraying of insecticides. If treatment blocks are needed, the location of the blocks will be in western United States on rangelands. Insect counts, along with weather, moisture and temperature will determine when, where and if treatments are needed. Currently, the expectation is Montana may have a large program this summer, with other States such as Idaho, Wyoming, and Nevada anticipating possibility of treatment blocks. The general Aerial Application Statement of Work which outlines the general requirements of the treatment blocks and 2021 wage determination will be applicable to any resulting contracts is attached. Each RFQ (Requests for Quotes) for Aerial treatments will be posted this Pre-solicitation Synopsis as attachments. Click “follow this acquisition” to be notified when updates are posted.
