Pump & Engine Replacement Each unit will have its pump/engine replaced with a Kubota D1803T engine with 48 HP 2-1/2 AGE, high vol-ume pump that is gear driven, turbo diesel, liquid cooled, equipped with 40 amp alternator. Each will be equipped with the 12 volt power primer. Kifco will keep and dispose of the old pump and engines currently on the units. Included Replacements: Each of the units will receive the following brand-new parts during the inspection and maintenance per-formed: - The 3” supply hose at the water pump assembly - 3 Pressure Gauges - Located near the elbow entry of the Reel and on each of the Foam Generators - The 1” Tiger Flex Suction Hose installed in the injection pump assembly - The 3/4” Vinyl hose installed in the injection pump assembly - The 3/8” Braided Clear Tube located at the Sanitation Tank - 2 Foam Generator Socks (one for each Generator) - 1 Entry Fitting Elbow (Kifco part no. 50602320) - 1 8HP Honda Retraction Engine w/ Key Shaft and Gas Tank Additional Equipment Upgrades - Brush Decontamination System: Each trailer will be equipped with a brush system to help eliminate debris stuck to the bottom of the PE Tube as it retracts back onto the spool. - Gell Battery: Kifco will remove and dispose of existing batteries on all units and install a high performance deep-cycle 12v optima battery for optimal performance. - Upgraded Wire Harness: An upgraded wire harness will be installed on the Gen 1 Units only (the remaining units should already have the upgraded wire harness). - Stainless Steel 3/4” x 3/4” Discharge and Suction Valves: both the discharge and suction valves on each unit will be replaced with more durable, stainless steel pieces. - Stainless Steel 3/4” Stinger Valve : The stinger valve on each unit will be replaced with a more durable, stainless steel stinger. Field Test - Each unit will be hooked up to water and field tested to ensure proper operation of all components. During the field test the each unit will be inspected prior to shipment for the following: - Leaks: Kifco will inspect and make sure there are no leaks from any gaskets or seals while water is flowing through the system. If any leaks are found, gaskets and or seals will be replaced. - Accurate Operation: During the field test, Kifco will ensure accurate operation of the foam generators, injections pumps, retraction engine and new booster pump and engine. When testing, all valves will be actuated and inspected for ease of movement - Electric Clutch: With the unit operating, Kifco will test the electric clutch to ensure proper retraction in both the automatic and manual positions - Activate Pumps: Both injection pumps and the sanitation pump will be inspected and activated at the con-trol panel to ensure proper operation. - Winterization: Each unit will be properly winterized after testing Detailed Maintenance Inspection The following items on each Avi-FoamGuard will be inspected to make sure they are in proper working order. Maintenance will be performed as described on each of the following: - Drive Belts: Each belt will be inspected for wear and tightness, adjusted accordingly and replaced if worn. - Injection Pumps: Each injection pump will be inspected to determine they are working properly. An oil change will be performed on each injection pump during the inspection. - Gearbox: The gearbox will be inspected to make sure it is in proper working order. The oil level will be checked and refilled (if needed) on each gearbox. - Lubrication: During inspection, designated areas will be lubricated with a water resistant grease. - If any of the gearboxes or injection pumps are found to not be in proper working order and beyond repair, Kifco will promptly inform the USDA. Should the USDA approve replacing these components, a separate pur-chase order will need to be submitted by the USDA and would invoice separately. Cost of these components IS NOT included in the price provided in this proposal. Current pricing for these items are as follows: - Injection Pump—$5,912.50 each - Gearbox—$451.76 each Common Wear Spare Parts The following parts are considered common-wear items. To help ensure each unit remains in proper work-ing order during a deployment, each unit will include 1 each the following spare parts: - 3/4” Stainless Discharge Check Valve - 3/4” Stainless Suction Check Valve - 3/4” Stainless Stinger - 3” Seal Ring - 20” Dia. Clamp - Foam Generator Nylon Sock - 5.75” Gasket 4.3 ID
