The USDA, Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS), Specialty Crops Program intends to procure contractor services to verify handler and importer compliance with the established peanut quality and handling standards. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for proposal (RFP). The RFP, 12639519R0007 is attached. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-101/10-26-2018. The NAICS code is 541690. This is a full and open competitive procurement. The USDA intends to award a fixed price commercial contract for this effort using FAR Part 12 procedures. The contract will include a one-year base period and four one-year unilateral option periods. This will be a best value procurement.
