The intent of this project is to replace the existing combined sanitary sewer treatment plant with individual sanitary sewer systems for each wastewater-generating facility in the recreation area. The contract will require the delivery of a complete, functional, tested, and turn-key solution for proper handling and treatment of wastewater at the Norway Beach Recreation area. The base contract will include: (1) effluent holding tank system, and (4) pressure-dosed mound-type septic systems. Additional work, in the form of Government Option items, may also be awarded. Option Item A consists of upgrades to the primary electrical infrastructure of one campground. Option Item B consists of (1) additional pressure-dosed mound-type septic system that serves 2 toilet/shower buildings in the same campground. Both options, neither option, or only one of the options may be awarded, at the Government’s discretion. The work will include such tasks as: mobilization, protection of existing improvements, traffic control, site safety, erosion control, construction layout land surveying, providing all materials, land clearing, cutting and handling of merchantable timber, earthwork, demolition of designated improvements, piping/plumbing, electrical and controls wiring, repair/replace of damaged improvements, disposal of items not designated for salvage, testing of systems, finish grading and seeding, and instruction of Forest Service personnel in the proper Operation and Maintenance of the new systems.
