The USDA Forest Service, Minnesota Shared Services Contracting Unit, Superior National Forest anticipates issuing a Request for Proposal for a Firm Fixed Price type contract. It is the intent of this contract to procure bridge rehab work for the Chippewa National Forest. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies (except those designated as Government-Furnished), and incidentals to perform all work necessary. The solicitation and related documents will ONLY be available for download at website beta.SAM.gov also known as “Contract Opportunities” on or about April 7, 2020. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed out. Interested vendors should register to receive notifications through this site. The resulting contract magnitude is anticipated to be between $150,000 and $300,000. NAICS: 237310, the size standard is $39.5Million. This project is being solicited as a 100% set aside for Small Business. All work is to comply with local, Federal and State codes and is subject to applicable wage rates. Questions concerning the solicitation must be in writing and sent via email to Clark Bartelt, Contracting Officer, clark.a.bartelt@USDA.GOV In order to receive award under this RFP the successful offeror shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at SAM.GOV, and have completed the online representations and certifications and be a certified 100% Small Business. All responsible small business sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the USDA Forest Service. 1. Location of Project Work The work will be performed on Chippewa National Forest, Rice River Bridge located near Marcell, MN. 2. Firm Fixed Price contract The Government is seeking proposals for a firm fixed price contract for the rehab of the Rice River Bridge site on Forest Road (FR) 2182. 3. Contract Award Under this solicitation, one contract may be awarded to the offeror whose proposal is technically acceptable and offers the best value to the Government. 4. Scope of Contract Work includes rehab of the Rice River Bridge site on FR 2182. The goal of the project is to remove the existing slotted drains, all the asphalt, current deck railings and then improve the virtual alignment and current drainages. Pave the entire project from beginning to ending termini. Project shall be completed between June 15, 2020 and October 16, 2020. All project work shall be completed within 60 calendar days following start of work.
