Description of Required Services The objective of this work is to implement an action at two developed recreation areas (campgrounds) on the Mark Twain National Forest. At Marble Creek and Silver Mines Recreation Areas, 14 campsites and day use areas will each receive a specified tonnage of #10 limestone screenings spread evenly to the limits marked on the ground and compacted. Four (4) of the locations are at Marble Creek and ten (10) are at Silver Mines. LOCATION The work areas consist of two developed recreation campgrounds located in Madison County on the Potosi/Fredericktown District of the Mark Twain National Forest in Southeast Missouri. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE Work is expected to begin after labor day and take six weeks to complete. The Government's estimated construction cost is: between $25,000 and $100,000 Complete solicitation materials including instructions on submitting an offer are contained within the attachments. Contractors must have an active registration in www.sam.gov in order to submit an offer. Obtaining a DUNS and registering in SAM are free of charge. UPDATE: A site visit will take place on Monday June 1st at 10 AM CT. The visit will start at Silver Mines and move onto Marble Creek. Those who wish to participate are asked to be at the campground host site of Silver Mines campground, off of FS road 2519, south of the Saint Francis River, by 10:00 am central standard time on June 1, 2020. This is not mandatory and vendors may make other arrangements to visit the site by emailing John Lacoste at john.lacoste@usda.gov. UPDATE: Amendment #1 and pre-bid questions and answers are attached. You must acknowledge amendment #1 by signing the attached SF-30 and including it with your offer. Offer due date is extended until 6/19/2020 at 11 AM CT.
