The purpose of FBO amendment dated 12/11/18 is to remind prospective bidders that though Norlake Scientific is indicated as the cooler and refrigeration equipment manufacturer in the Basis of Design, other manufacturer's cooler/refrigeration systems may be proposed as "or equal". To be determined as equal and be approved, other systems must meet the following requirements: 1. Manufactured/designed by a company having 5 or more years' experience providing systems of similar size and complexity. 2. Meets the performance requirements indicated below. 3. Provides similar level of functionality, operability, maintainability and durability to the attributes described below. It is the manufacturer's responsibility to provide adequate documentation to the government to allow the government to make direct comparisons. 4. All variations are fully described and the Contractor assumes all responsibility for changes in the overall design and there are no cost increase to the Government. 5. All redesign changes are provided with the shop drawing submittals.
