This notice is for information and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or an obligation on the part of the Government. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals. Submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary. The government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred associated to this request. The USDA-ARS in West Lafayette, Indiana, and Urbana, Illinois, has several pieces of farm equipment manufactured by Almaco. We are seeking to increase competition and find additional sources that can provide all parts and labor to repair and/or service Almaco brand single plant threshers, large plot threshers, SPC-20 plot combines, HP5 plot combines, BT14 belt threshers, 4-row cone planter, 2-row planter. This list is not all-inclusive. The USDA-ARS is issuing this notice as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to provide the supervision, labor, materials, plant, equipment, and supplies necessary to provide these services. The result of this market research will contribute to determining whether there are adequate sources available from which to receive competitive proposals. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code to be assigned to this procurement is 811310. Submission Instructions: Interested parties who consider themselves qualified to provide the service as detailed are invited to submit a response to this Sources Sought Notice providing technical data sufficient to determine their capability to meet the entire requirement and must be received in this office no later than 2:00 PM Eastern on December 15, 2019. If your organization has appropriate qualifications and capacity to provide this service, please provide the following information: (1) A complete and current record of your System for Award Management (SAM) registration which includes DUNS number, Organization name, address, contact name, email address, website address, telephone number, type of organization, small business type (if any), etc; (2) A list of previous customers (Federal preferred) which were provided products or services similar in nature; (3) Literature showing the qualifications of personnel/company to provide services including licenses, licensing, and factory authorization certification. The Government requests that potential sources submit only the minimum information necessary.
