This award will be made utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with: Federal Acquisition Regulation 13.106-2)(1) For purchases exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold. The requirements at 13.501(a) apply to sole-source (including brand-name) acquisitions of commercial products and commercial services conducted pursuant to subpart 13.5. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Plant Introduction Research in Ames, IA has a need for OEM-Compatible repair parts to repair an existing Munters Cargocaire Engineering Company HC-1125-GA Dehumidifier. Parts required are: desiccant drum, drive motor, seal kit, reducer, rollers, and belts. USDA-ARS MWA Procurement Office in Peoria, IL intends to make a firm fixed price sole source award under the authority 13.106-2)(1), only one responsible source, to: Munters Corporation – Air Treatment Division 79 Monroe Street Amesbury, MA 01913 The objective of this sole source award is to procure the following OEM-compatible parts to repair the existing Munters Cargocaire Engineering Company HC-1125-GA dehumidifier: Wheel Assy (desiccant drum), 60 TIGEL 400mm, OEM part # 30145-29 – Qty 1 Seal Kit, HC-9000, OEM part # 43125-06 – Qty 1 Motor,1/4HP, 3PH, 230/460V, 60HZ & 380/415V, 50HZ, OEM part # 91629-01–Qty 1 Wheel Roller, 5 X 2, OEM part # 92022-02 – Qty 4 Timing Belt, OEM part # 92283-09 – Qty 2 Reducer, Speed 900:1 UL-R NEMA 56C, OEM part # 94601-04 – Qty 1 As such, purchase from Munters Corporation– Air Treatment Division has been determined to be required as they are the only vendor available that meets all of the requirements outlined above. The NAICS code for this requirement is 333415 Air Conditioning and Warm Air Heating Equipment and Commercial and Industrial Refrigeration Equipment Manufacturing6a small business size standard of 1,250 Employees. The PSC code for this requirement is 4140 – Fans, Air Circulators, and Blower Equipment. NO solicitation or solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotations; however, interested vendors that regard themselves as capable of providing a product that can fulfill the requirements are invited to submit responses to the Government for consideration. Interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement by NO later than Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 2:00PM (CT) to Debora Wells at debora.wells@usda.gov. This is NOT a solicitation, nor is it an announcement for a forthcoming solicitation. Submission of any information in response to this notification is purely voluntary. The Government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred in providing a response. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Plant Introduction Research in Ames, IA has a need for OEM-Compatible repair parts to repair an existing Munters Cargocaire Engineering Company HC-1125-GA Dehumidifier.
