The USDA/ARS intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C 253(c)(1) and FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), only one responsible source, to: ITIN + HOCH GMBH Laubibergstrasse 65 Liestal, 4410 CHE Description of Requirement: The objective of this sole source award is to procure precision technology halters for evaluating grazing behavior in beef cattle. The NAICS code for this requirement is 334514; the small business size standard is 850 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. All information received by 4:00 PM Central Daylight Time on April 29, 2024 will be considered by the Government. The Agricultural Research Service (ARS) is conducting a market survey to identify the availability and interest of qualified Small, Small Disadvantaged, Small Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Historically Underutilized Business Zones, Woman-Owned, and certified 8(a) firms and large businesses as potential sources for precision technology halters for evaluating grazing behavior in beef cattle at the Forage-Animal Production Research Unit in Lexington, Kentucky. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334514, Totalizing Fluid Meter and Counting Device Manufacturing. The Small Business Size Standard is 850 employees. The following information is provided to assist the ARS in conducting Market Research to identify potential contractors for this effort: The government is seeking capability statements from businesses capable of providing the precision technology halters. Place of Performance: United States Department of Agriculture Forage-Animal Production Research Unit 1100 S. Limestone N-220 Ag Science Building Lexington, KY 40546 Respondents shall furnish sufficient technical information necessary for the Government to conclusively determine that they are capable of meeting the technical requirements identified in the attached specifications document. Firms believing they can meet the requirements are encouraged to respond electronically with no less than the following information: Business name, Unique Entity Identifier (UEI), business address, business website, business size status (i.e., SB, VOSB, SDVOSB, HUBZone SB, SDB, WOSB, LB), point of contact name, mailing address (if different from business address), phone number, and email address; Sufficient descriptive literature that unequivocally demonstrates that offered products will meet or exceed the specifications; Descriptive material necessary for the government to determine whether the product(s) offered meets the technical requirements; If a large business, provide if subcontracting opportunities exist for small business concerns.
