The Agricultural Research Service (ARS) is conducting a market survey to identify the availability and interest of qualified Small, Small Disadvantaged, Small Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Historically Underutilized Business Zones, and certified 8(a) firms and large businesses as potential sources for a heating block assembly for the Forage Animal Production Research Unit in Lexington, KY. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334516, Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing. The Small Business Size Standard is 1,000 employees. The following information is provided to assist the ARS in conducting Market Research to identify potential contractors for this effort: The government is seeking capability statements from businesses capable of providing a heating block assembly with the following minimum specifications: 6-chamber heating block assembly that includes a standard heating block, air/gas manifold, clear front panel and retaining ring clamp tool. Heating block provides temperature control of up to 6 NaviCyte Vertical Ussing chambers. Individual control valves on the associated gas manifold allow independent adjustment of gas flow into each half of an individual NaviCyte chamber. Dimensions not to exceed 38.1cm x 10.2cm x 12.7cm. The 6 chambers in this block assembly are connected to a digitizer (system must be compatible with PowerLab 8sp digitizer) through the voltage clamp amplifiers. Data acquisition software must be compatible with PowerLab 8sp and is capable of recording data and controlling the entire system. Place of Performance: United States Department of Agriculture Forage Animal Production Research Unit Lexington, KY Respondents shall furnish sufficient technical information necessary for the Government to conclusively determine that they are capable of meeting the technical requirements identified above.
