The US Forest Service has a requirement for road construction/repair and culvert replacement. Work to be performed under this contract includes, but is not inclusive of, erosion control measures, installation of new culverts, geosynthetics installations, aggregate base spreading and compacting, roadbed reconditioning, installation of geocell confinement system, ditch and cut slope excavation, lead off ditch construction, rolling dip construction, clearing and grubbing, and seeding. The project is located in the National Forests in Florida, Ocala Ranger District near Salt Springs, FL in Marion County. The period of performance will be for 210 days after the Notice to Proceed has been issued. The magnitude of this project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. Payment and Performance Bonds will be required of the Awardee; a Bid Guarantee is will be required. This requirement is a 100% Total Small Business Set Aside. The Government plans to award one Firm Fixed Priced contract. The solicitation will be available on this site on or about 4 June 2020. A pre-proposal site visit will be held in conjunction with solicitations 12467020R0061, 12467020R0062, and 12467020R0064 at the Lake George Ranger District Office, 17147 E. HWY 40, Silver Springs, FL 34488-5849 at 1000 AM EST on 10 Jun 2020. Pre-proposal site visits are not mandatory but are highly suggested. There is no incumbent to this project. The solicitation has been posted. AMENDMENT 1 - Incorporate a corrected SF-1442. The SF-1442 did not properly annotate a Bid Guarantee was required. The correct box has been checked.
