The US Forest Service has a requirement to repair a road. Work to be performed under this contract includes, but is not inclusive of, erosion control measures, installation of new culverts, roadway aggregate base spreading and compacting, importing unclassified borrow, embankment construction, new ditch construction, clearing and grubbing, and seeding and mulching. The project is located in the National Forests in Florida, Ocala Ranger District, near Silver Springs in Marion County at the following latitude/longitude 29.2681, -81.8199; this is a remote location and porta-potties shall be provided by the Awardee prior to starting the work and shall be service for the duration of the project. The period of performance will be for 60 days after the Notice to Proceed has been issued. The magnitude of this project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. A Payment Bond is required of the Awardee; a Bid Guarantee is NOT required. This requirement is a 100% Total Small Business Set Aside. The Government intends to award one Firm Fixed Priced contract. The solicitation will be available on www.beta.sam.gov on or about 3 June 2020. A pre-proposal site visit will be held; see the Section L of the solicitation body for more information.
