The USDA Forest Service, Region 8 Contracting Office is conducting market research through this Sources Sought Notice for information related to contractors experienced and capable of performing janitorial services. The work is to be performed at the Andrew Pickens Office and Work Center located at the Andrew Pickens Ranger District in the Sumter National Forest (Oconee County). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 561720 with a PSC code: S201. This is not a request for bids, quotes, or proposals. This is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION only. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified businesses to assist with socio-economic set-aside feasible. If there are sufficient small business responses, this market research will be used as a basis for setting the forthcoming solicitation aside for small business concerns. If insufficient small business responses are received then the action will be advertised as full and open competition, in which case, all interested parties responding shall be eligible to bid once the solicitation is posted. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary, and all information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government. This notice is for informational and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or a commitment by the Government to later publish a solicitation. Interested parties should submit with their response the following information no later than 09:00 AM EST April 27, 2020 to include company name, address, DUNS number, business size, and any socioeconomic classification.
