PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Tombigbee Ranger District, National Forests in Mississippi is proposing rehabilitation/stabilization of approximately 21, 830 square feet, 2,200 linear feet of lakefront on Davis Lake for erosion control and accessibility for shoreline fishing. The purpose of this project is to armor approximately 2,200 Linear Feet of shoreline to prevent erosion and provide stable footing for fishing from shore. This includes grading slopes and placing top soil on the prepared site, seeding an fertilizing approximately 1/3 acre and install an erosion control mat placing a straw blanket where seams join. Mat to be placed and secured according to manufacturer’s specifications. 1 culvert at the entrance to Davis Lake to be armored and grouted to prevent further erosion. Contract time is 180 working days. ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE: between $100,000. and $250,000. PROJECT LOCATION: Davis Lake is located 21 miles south of Tupelo, Mississippi, and 12 miles north of Houston, MS, in New Houlka, MS, Chickasaw County. From Houston: Travel north on Hwy 15 to the intersection of Hwy 32 and County Road 124. Proceed East of CR 124 to Davis Lake. From Tupelo: Travel South on Natchez Trace Parkway to the Davis Lake Exit. Proceed West on CR 413 to Davis Lake. SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS: The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this project is 237310 (Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction. The Small Business Size Standard is $36.5 Million. This project is set-aside 100% for small businesses. Award will be made based on the best value to the Government and can be made on initial offer.
