The Government intends to award a single award firm fixed contract for this acquisition. The Cadillac-Manistee Fire Warehouse acquisition and source selection are being conducted in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Parts 15 and FAR Part 36. The Cadillac-Manistee Fire Warehouse project is to build a warehouse structure. The proposed project address is 1170 Nursery Road, Wellston, MI. The site is located approximately eight (8) miles west of the intersection of M-37 and M-55. The project is expected to start before 8/1/2023.

This is a presolicitation notice IAW FAR 5.204 and 36.213-2 This project includes construction of a new fire warehouse that would be capable of housing all district and Great Lakes Interagency Wildland Fire Module (GLIAWFM) fire equipment, including the Type 6 Engines. The project includes complete construction of a new warehouse, including a new high capacity well, septic, and driveway to the new facility. The project also includes the decommission of the existing fire module building upon the completion of the new facility. The project includes but is not limited to the following Work: a. New 6,000 gross square feet heated warehouse and garage to store approximately four fire trucks, a trailer, potentially two pick-up trucks, and a Work Area. The structure will also contain a Fitness Room, Conference Room, Toilet and Shower Rooms, Locker Area, Mechanical Room, Laundry Room, and Janitor Closet. b. Wood frame construction with concrete slab on grade. c. New parking spaces and driveway leading to new garage. Performance period is expected to not exceed 12 months after date of award The estimated magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 Project Location: The proposed project address is 1170 Nursery Road, Wellston, MI. The site is located thirty miles west of the intersection of M-37 and M-55. Solicitations are anticipated to be posted 9 May 2023, closing 9 June 2023. Plans, drawing, Specifications and any other pertinent documentation will be posted on SAM.gov under solicitation 12445523R0018 This procurement will be total small business set-aside There will not be any reimbursements by the government for solicitation documents.
