The USDA Forest Service (FS), East Zone, has an anticipated requirement to provide materials, labor, equipment, and expertise to complete the removal and replacement of existing toilet and shower buildings with engineered pre-cast concrete buildings. Items of work include but are not limited to: Removal and disposal of designated trees Structural demolition/disposal, including asbestos wall board removal and utility disconnection Performing excavation, soil compaction, and other site preparation activities Providing, placing, and compacting aggregate for base and finish grade material Furnishing and installing new concrete shower and toilet buildings, including reconnection of existing utilities to the new facilities Forming, pouring, and finishing ADA-compliant concrete walkways Removal and replacement of compromised lift station basin including removing and resetting of existing pumps and rails in the new unit Final grading of sites; seeding and mulching; and other associated activities. This project is located at Lake Sherwood Campground, within the Lake Sherwood Recreation Area in the Monongahela National Forest. The project site is approximately 12 miles Northeast of Neola, WV. In accordance with Section L, Clause 452.237-71, Pg. 42 of RFP 12445523R0005, an optional Pre-Bid Site visit is scheduled for 15 Feb 2023 @ 11:00 A.M. ET. A Request for Proposal Solicitation for this acquisition will be released on or about February 1, 2023 and will close on or about March 3, 2023. It is anticipated that the contract will begin on or about March 13, 2023. This acquisition will be competed as a 100% Total Small Business Set Aside. Construction Magnitude is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. This Pre-solicitation Notice seeks to provide information to interested parties about potential opportunity to construct new work, additions, alterations, or maintenance and repairs for road and other transportation related repair and construction services. This Pre-solicitation Notice does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service. Respondents are advised that the United States (U.S) Government will not pay for any information or administrative cost incurred in response to this Pre-solicitation Notice. All costs associated with responding to this Pre-solicitation Notice will be solely at the responding party's expense. Please be advised that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned.
