The intent of this contract is reconstruct the existing ... The USDA Forest Service, Allegheny National Forest anticipates issuing a Request For Proposal (RFP) for a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) type contract. The intent of this contract is reconstruct the existing Irwin Run Canoe Launch site. Work includes improvements and additions to the parking area, canoe launch site area, and entry/exit access road. Site work includes installation of a concrete sidewalk, timber stairs and an accessible path down to the Clarion River. Optional Bid items are a double vault concrete toilet building and landscape plantings of native shrubs and trees. The optional bid items will be awarded based on available funding. The project is expected to start 9/19/2022. The goal of the project is to eliminate deferred maintenance and to expand recreational opportunities for the public. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies, and incidentals to perform all work necessary. NAICS: 237990, Size standard is $39.5 Million. This project is being solicited as a 100% set aside for Small Business. All work is to comply with local, Federal, and State codes and is subject to applicable wage rates. The synopsis and related documents will only be available for download from the System for Award Opportunities (www.sam.gov) on or about August 17, 2022.
