The Houston Ranger District Office requires construction to install drainage pipe. DESCRIPTION OF WORK Scope: All removal areas will be clearly marked by COR. Contractor is responsible for calling dig rite and utility location if any. Includes saw cutting asphalt and concrete pavement. Excavation of soil, asphalt and concrete pavement, loading on trucks and disposing material by contractor off site. Placement of 1” clean aggregate as bedding material under and around pipe, drop inlets and junction box. Drop inlets shall be placed at shown elevations for proper drainage and slope, and HDPE pipe shall be placed accordingly. All excavated areas will be back filled with 1” clean aggregate including area of parking lot between the oil house and warehouse were asphalt pavement is removed. A new 4” concrete reinforced pavement will provide drainage as shown in drawings to drop inlets. This pavement will use #3 rebar and concrete mix design submitted to COR. All material shall conform to FP-14 or MoDOT specifications. No material testing will be completed by contractor, any necessary material testing will be performed by Forest Service if needed. Any disturbed soil areas shall be regraded and seed/straw placed. Notes: Included is a material list with specifications from SI Precast/ Murdon Concrete Products. Contractor must use these products or an approved equal. Work shall be completed within a 30 day time frame. The Forest service is unaware of any utilities in work area except a water hydrant line at far end of building. However contractor still needs to contact dig-rite utility locator. There is no traffic signage needed but site must be marked of any hazards. This may include construction fence, cones, baricades or safety devices so that vehicles or pedestrians are made aware of any hazards. A safe walk way for pedestrians must be provided to and from the front door of the warehouse at all times. Parking lot and construction area will be free of vehicles during the 30 day construction period.
