The objective of this work is to implement an action at two developed recreation areas (campgrounds) on the MTNF. At Marble Creek and Silver Mines Recreation Areas, 12 campsites and day use areas will each receive a specified tonnage of 1-inch minus limestone screenings or 1-inch clean limestone aggregate spread evenly to the limits marked on the ground. Sites shall be cleared of leaves and any vegetation by the contractor prior to rock placement. Twelve (12) sites shall receive 1-inch clean limestone aggregate to be spread evenly over eroded areas marked on the ground and compacted. One (1) site shall receive a specified tonnage of 1-inch minus limestone screenings to be spread evenly to the limits marked on the ground, and compacted. Three (3) sites shall also require tree removal and water bars to be constructed in marked areas before placement of 1-inch minus limestone screenings (Appendix 3 + 4 show specifications and approximate locations). Four (4) of the locations are at Marble Creek and eight (8) are at Silver Mines. Total tonnage required for this project is 63 tons 1-inch clean limestone aggregate and 58 tons 1-inch minus limestone screenings.
