This is a pre-solicitation notice being released pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 5. The USDA Forest Service (FS), East Zone, has an anticipated construction requirement to include but not limited to all labor, materials, tools and equipment to perform the following major items of work: Asbestos Removal from a Bathroom Building (approx. 60 SF); Well House demolition replaced with an RV Pedestal Hookup; demo and replacement of a Flush Toilet Building; demo four existing Vault Toilet Buildings and install two new pre-cast concrete Vault Toilet Buildings; demo and replace Lift Station Basin; and demo existing Shower Building and replace with new pre-cast concrete Shower Building. This project is located at Lake Sherwood Campground, within the Lake Sherwood Recreation Area in the Monongahela National Forest. The project site is approximately 12 miles Northeast of Neola, WV. This procurement will be solicited using North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 236220—Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, with a small business size standard of $39.5M. An Invitation for Bid for this acquisition will be released on or about August 30, 2021 and will close on or about September 29, 2021. It is anticipated that the contract will begin on or about October 22, 2021. This acquisition will be competed as a 100% Total Small Business Set Aside. This Pre-solicitation Notice seeks to provide information to interested parties about potential opportunity to construct new work, additions, alterations, or maintenance and repairs for road and other transportation related repair and construction services. This Pre-solicitation Notice does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service. Respondents are advised that the United States (U.S) Government will not pay for any information or administrative cost incurred in response to this Pre-solicitation Notice. All costs associated with responding to this Pre-solicitation Notice will be solely at the responding party's expense. Please be advised that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the U.S Government to form a binding contract.
