Amendment 0002: Due date extended until NLT 1700 EST, Dec 13th, 2023. Additionally: A second pre-bid site visit is scheduled for 10 AM EST, Wednesday, December 6th, 2023. This new / revised amendment provides for an "option" line item to the SOI. 52.217-5 Evaluations of Options (JUL 1990) --this clause will now apply and be added to the list of clauses. Additionally, ---no Q&A's were provided at the pre-bid site visit. Nothing adding / changing the SOW was referenced , but as mentioned above, the option line item "encapsulated crawlspace" was added via this amendment. Utilize the amendment 0001, revised SOI (schedule of items) to submit your offer. This revised SOI & SOW, incorporates an "Option" line item for encapsulating a crawlspace. Note: a Pre-bid Site Visit is scheduled for 11/21/2023 (Tuesday), 10 AM EST, Location: Cradle of Forestry Visitor Center, 11250 Pisgah Hwy., Pisgah Forest, NC 28768. Attendence to the pre-bid site visit is not mandatory for proposal submission, but is highly encouraged. Complete renovation of two adjoining bathrooms, including: a. Demolition of existing partition walls, flooring, and bathroom fixtures b. Partition wall construction c. Replacement of subfloor and flooring d. Installation of new fixtures and associated plumbing and venting. e. Minor electrical modifications 2. Replacement of all copper water supply lines within crawl space with PEX piping a. Demolish all existing copper water supply lines, starting from valve at 1” supply and terminating at connections to fixtures. b. Replace complete water distribution system PEX piping per Section 221116. 3. Replacement of all cast iron waste piping with PVC a. Demolish all existing cast iron waste piping starting at fixtures and terminating at point where it penetrates the ground within the crawl space. b. Replace complete sanitary waste piping system in kind with PVC per Section 221316 4. Replacement of all crawlspace insulation, and minor repairs to the vapor barrier. Period of Performance: 45 Days after issuance of notice to proceed.
