This project consists of the road reconditioning of 15.7 miles in the Appalachian Ranger District. Work Includes the blading and shaping the existing traveled way and shoulders, including turnouts, to produce a uniform surface, consistent to grade, and crowned or cross-sloped as indicated in existing surface to design specifications. Maintain ditches, including lead-off ditches, by removing rock, soil, wood and other materials. Maintain ditches to achieve proper drainage. Clean drainage structures, inlets, catch basins and outlets. materials away from inlet and outlets. 5520 tons of ABC spot surfacing. 316 feet of pipe replacement. The Contractor shall provide any and all equipment, labor, materials, tools, supervision, equipment including safety and other incidentals necessary to perform all work for the specified road maintenance activities located within the boundaries of the National Forest’s in North Carolina in accordance with the specification, exhibits and clauses contained or referenced herein. This project includes road maintenance for the Pisgah Ranger District of Pisgah National Forest. Roads to receive maintenance operations are shown on the Vicinity Maps and Road Maintenance Activities Schedule attached. Site visit date is : Tuesday, May 7th 2024 at 10:00am 1600 Pisgah Hwy, Pisgah Forest, NC 28768 Any questions after site visit about this solicitation must be submitted NLT 5:00pm, Friday, May 10th, 2024. Amendment 0001 is to replace attachment J3 with attachment J9. (attached) Amendment 0002 is to replace attachment J7 with attachment 10. (attached) Amendment 0003 is to extend the due date from 5/17 to 5/24/24 due to a revised SOW/Specs being included in Amendment 02 coming with next 2 business days. Amendment 0004 is to make changes pertain to the Compaction Roller, Item 807.07. The major change is that we reduced the size of vibratory roller to 10 Tons, increased the number of passes required from 4 to 8 and increased the number of days to 9. Attachments J11, J12, J13, and J14 will take place of attachments J1, J2, and J4. Attachment J15 includes a compiled list of contractors' technical questions. The due date for a pricing proposal is Friday, May 24, 2024 by 5pm Eastern.
