The USDA Forest Service has a requirement for the demolition of the Witherbee House and Storage facilities in accordance with the attached Statement of Work. The resulting contract shall be a firm fixed priced construction contract. This is a 100% Small Business Set Aside. The contractor shall be responsible to provide all safety precautions in regards to COVID-19, as well as general safety in regards to asbestos related work. Contractor shall also be responsible to provide all supervision, staffing, equipment, tools, transportation and provisions in order to complete the work in accordance with the attached statement of work. Pre-Bid Meeting: There will be a prebid meeting on Tuesday May 18, 2021 at 10:00am at the Witherbee house. The pre-bid meeting is not mandatory. The amount shall be adequate to protect the Government from loss should the successful bidder fail to execute further contractual documents and bonds as required. The bid guarantee amount shall be at least 20 percent of the bid price but shall not exceed $3 million. When the penal sum is expressed as a percentage, a maximum dollar limitation may be stated.
