UPDATED SCOPE OF WORK: 1) NO moving parts or equipment required. Scope: The USDA FS International Institute of Tropical Forestry is seeking the Rental of climate control storage space to house laboratory equipment, cabinets, laboratory benches, and shelf units needed to meet our demolish and new chemistry rebuild requirement. The warehouse must be within 10 miles of the Jardin Botanico Sur in San Juan, Puerto Rico. We anticipate awarding a firm-fixed-price Full-Service contract for the Rental of a warehouse/storage space to supplement the Chemistry Laboratory's existing storage capacity. The space will be used to warehousing sophisticated analytical instruments, balances, ovens, new instruments/ovens inside boxes and crates, lab equipment, and other miscellaneous items. The awardee will be responsible for having the requested storage space within 30 calendar days of the contract award. The Contractor shall administer, manage, and execute the work necessary to provide the specified services. The Contractor shall comply with applicable Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, and directives. The Contractor shall perform all work by the terms and conditions of the contract. This is for a Base year plus four one-year option lease contract. PURPOSE: SOURCES SOUGHT (MARKET SURVEY)SOURCES SOUGHT (MARKET SURVEY) The Forest Service is conducting a market survey to determine the interest and capability of contractors for an upcoming project. All costs associated with providing information in response to this market survey shall be the responsibility of the firm. Any information submitted is voluntary. The Contracting Officer will make an acquisition strategy determination based on the results of this market survey. Overview: The USDA FS International Institute of Tropical Forestry in Puerto Rico is seeking rental of storage space of two (2) 20X20 Storage Units - Non climate Controlled to house laboratory equipment, cabinets, laboratory benches, and shelf units needed to meet our demolish and new chemistry rebuild requirement. The warehouse needs to be within 10 miles of the Jardin Botanico Sur in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The contractor would be responsible for relocating all contents from the International Institute of Tropical Forestry (1201 Calle Ceiba, Jardín Botánico Sur, San Juan, PR 00926-1119) storage facility to the warehouse storage rental facility within 30 calendar days of contract award. Highly desired features: 1. Monday through Friday from 7:00a.m. to 4:30 p.m access to the storage unit 2. Video Surveillance 3. On Site Staffing 4.
