This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a solicitation to vectorized approximately 125 scanned historical maps of land cover and join them with existing vector data to create a land-cover map for Puerto Rico for 1950-51. Deliverables will include: 1) the 125 vectorized maps, and 2) the vectorized maps edge-matched and joined together to one or two sets of existing vectorized maps. Contractor Requirements: Technical Requirements / Tasks Vectorize 125 of the scanned and georeferenced maps. Edge match and join the results together and to similar data where applicable. Send two copies of the vector files and joined vector files to the IITF point of contact along with a listing of the software that was used and any steps taken to check for accuracy and completeness. Requirements/Credentials: Expert knowledge and experience vectorizing land cover from scanned maps. Experience vectorizing and joining with polygon edge matching large numbers of scanned historical land-cover maps.
