American Elm Seed Orchards, Resistance Trials, and Synthesis
The USDA Forest Service seeks a contractor to provide scientific and technical support for its American elm breeding and restoration program, including manuscript preparation, monitoring of multi-state resistance trials, and orchard coordination. The work involves data analysis, field ratings, stakeholder coordination, propagation support, and annual travel to project sites in Minnesota, Illinois, Ohio, and Vermont. Contractor personnel must have expertise in plant pathology, genetics, physiology, restoration ecology, and manuscript development. Deliverables include manuscripts, monitoring data, progress summaries, and coordination outputs. Note that funds are not currently available, and the government may cancel the solicitation.
