Hemlock Woolly Adelgid (HWA) Treatment
The contractor must provide insecticide treatment services to protect Eastern hemlock trees from Hemlock Woolly Adelgid (HWA) within the Allegheny National Forest. Performance locations include developed recreation sites, administrative sites, and conservation areas in Elk, Forest, McKean, and Warren Counties, Pennsylvania. The contractor is responsible for all labor, materials, equipment, insecticide, transportation, and supervision. Approved application methods may include soil injection, soil drench, soil tablets, basal bark sprays, or stem injections. Work may occur on gentle to steep terrain under typical field conditions.
