The purpose of this project is to purchase a forestry dozer for the Hiawatha National Forest, located in Rapid River, MI. Offerors are requested to provide a quote for the equipment listed below, the vendor is responsible for submitting enough supporting information/documentation to illustrate their capability to meet or exceed the following Salient Characteristics. Salient Characteristics: • Engine: diesel, 130hp net minimum • Maximum height: 132 inches • Weight (with blade, without rear attachments): 32,000 to 36,000 lbs • Minimum ground clearance: 14.5 inches • Heavy duty, impact resistant bellypan, designed to withstand regular impact from stumps and other debris • Track: Oscillating (non-fixed), sealed and lubed, with 24 to 26” shoes • Blade: 120 to 126 inches wide, 6 way hydraulic adjustment • ---Dozer will be outfitted with a removeable scarification rake/salmon blade in the future • Reversing radiator fan • ROPS, heat, and A/C • 2 or more egress points • Polycarbonate (such as Lexan) windows on cab suited for forestry use • Air suspension seat with heating and cooling • Rearview camera • Satellite link connection for remote diagnostics • Cold weather package • Rear winch • Exhaust shall be mounted so as not to interfere with operator’s forward vision. Upright through-hood exhaust is not acceptable • Limb risers/sweeps • Tilit-up cab to allow for maintenance and clean-out • AM/FM radio with Bluetooth • Electrical system: if machine is not a 12 volt setup, a 12 volt power supply/convertor with minimum 20 amps shall be installed to provide for the future install of an agency two way radio in the cab • LED lighting mounted near top of canopy to illuminate the front and rear of work area • Minimum 12 month warranty with mobile service available to Rapid River MI Procurement will be 100% set-aside for Small Business and will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 12, 13, and 19
