The objective of this project is to improve habitat by managing infestations of non-native invasive plant species (NNIS) and through timber stand improvement (TSI) treatments using chemical and mechanical controls at several natural areas and timber sale units. Treatment areas are located on the Shawnee National Forest. This project involves 10 specific treatment areas. Contractor and/or whoever will supervise the herbicide treatment must possess a current State of Illinois Commercial Applicator License on the site during any herbicide treatments. Procurement will be 100% set-aside for Small Business and will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 12, 13, and 19.
