The National Forests in Mississippi has a requirement to mitigate streambed degradation and erosion issues at the outlet structure of Turkey Fork Lake, located in the Turkey Fork Recreation Area on the Chickasawhay Ranger District in the De Soto National Forest further detailed in the Solicitation/ Request for Proposals. This activity is considered construction, Davis-Bacon wage rates apply, and payment/performance bonds (or alternate forms of payment protection) may be required based on the value of the award. The USDA Forest Service encourages the participation of small, disadvantaged, service disabled veteran, and women owned business enterprises. The primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237310 and the small business size standard is $39.5 million. The proposed contract is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. All responsible, qualified small businesses may submit an offer, which will be considered by the Forest Service. All Offerors shall be registered at the System for Award Management (www.sam.gov) to be eligible for award. The solicitation for this project will be available only through the www.beta.sam.gov Contracting Opportunities web site. The magnitude of this construction project is between $25,000 and $100,000.
