USDA Forest Service, National Forests in North Carolina, Appalachian Ranger District has a need for janitorial services and grounds maintenance for Stackhouse Boat Launch, Murray Branch Picnic and River Access, both located on the Appalachian Ranger District, Madison County North Carolina, including but not limited to; trash removal and disposal off-site, cleaning and restocking of vault toilet facilities, and lawn maintenance of grassy areas. The actual work will be performed April 1 through October 31 of each year. It is our intent to award a single BPA (Blanket Purchase Agreement) that will be a base year (2023) and four (4) option years. Stackhouse Boat Launch is located on the Appalachian Ranger District of the Pisgah National Forest within Madison County, North Carolina. Located along the French Broad River, this recreation site serves both the public and commercial river industry with thousands of users. The site consists of a CTX restroom building with two separate restrooms and a plumbing alley, each restroom containing a vault toilet, garbage receptacle, and toilet paper dispenser. The building is surrounded by a 400 sq. foot walkway connecting to the parking area including accessible parking. The flooring is finished concrete, and the walls are painted concrete, the doors are metal with metal jambs. There are two separate parking areas for the commercial industry and public, with a kiosk in the commercial area. There is a double bear safe garbage receptacle in close proximity to the restroom building. Murray Branch Picnic and River Access is located on the Appalachian Ranger District of the Pisgah National Forest in Madison County and serves commercial and public users. The site consists of a CXT restroom building with two separate restrooms including a vault toilet, garbage receptacle, and toilet paper dispenser. The building is surrounded by 400 sq. ft. concrete walkway connecting to the parking area. The flooring is finished concrete and interior walls are painted concrete. The doors are metal with metal jambs. There are two large, covered picnic shelters measuring 16¿x20¿ with three picnic tables inside and two large pedestal grills outside each. There are five picnic tables and pedestal grills in close proximity to parking and located in the grassy area. There is a natural buffer of vegetation between the grassy area and the river. There is a concrete walkway around the asphalt parking area with an information kiosk and two double bear safe garbage receptacles. Total contract amount $28,100.00 AMENDMENT 1 : Amendment 1: Add: The Contractor who is awarded this BPA must provide a project manager who will be available at the job site within 2 hrs as needed. Add: Per 52.219-14, Limitations on Subcontracting (Oct 2022), subcontracting is limited to 50% of the contract. Remove: Contractors interested in this project must have a business office within a 100-mile radius of the work site.
