The resultant contract, if any, will be a firm fixed price (FFP) contract, Bear Resistant Trash Dumpster in support of the Cherokee National Forest, Tellico Ranger District, located in Monroe County Tennessee. This solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, 'Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items," as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Delivery Period: Must be able to fulfill order and deliver dumpsters prior to February 1, 2022 This procurement is set aside 100% for small business concerns. Only offers from small business concerns will be accepted. Twenty Six (26) Bear Proof Dumpster 6-Yard Front End Loader Delivery Location: Tellico Ranger District 250 Ranger Station Road Tellico Plains, TN 37385 Dumpster Specification: Dumpsters must be bear proof. Must be able to fulfill order and deliver dumpsters prior to February 1, 2022. Manufactured from 12 gauge steel and available in 6 cubic yard size. Must be compatible with front end loader trash trucks. Have double access doors secured with a bear-resistant paddle latch, which allows for personal trash disposal. Unloading lid that is unlatched by a gravity latch during the dumping operation. The Gravity Latching Mechanism has a hook that is on a pivot. When the dumpster is lifted and rotated forward, the hook can pivot away from the pin and allow the door to swing open. When the bear proof dumpster is set down the hook slides over the pin and engages to secure the lid in place. A hook and pin setup on each side of the bear resistant dumpster, making it a cooperative 2-person operation to open manually if so desired. The hook/pins are slightly recessed for added resistance.
