The USDA Forest Service requires timber stand improvement (crop tree release) on approximately 100–224 acres in Scott County, VA, on the Clinch Ranger District. The contractor must provide all labor and equipment to perform four-sided crown-touch release treatments, with work performance expected from August 17, 2026, through December 31, 2026. The estimated contract value is under $75,000.00. Evaluation criteria prioritize successful past performance on similar work, knowledge of Southern Appalachian tree species, and previous COR evaluations, with price being the least important factor. Award will be made using best value tradeoff, and the Forest Service may reduce acreage to award to the highest-rated offeror.
