This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for Grounds Maintenance Services at the Glenwood Pedlar Ranger District Office on the George Washington & Jefferson National Forests, in Rockbridge County, VA. The contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, equipment, fuel, supervision, transportation, materials, and supplies necessary to perform mowing and trimming of grass, weeds, tree and brush sprouts on the Glenwood and Pedlar Ranger District Administrative Site in Rockbridge County, Virginia in accordance with the specifications, terms, and conditions of the solicitation. This combined synopsis/solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for commercial items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The requirement is issued under the attached Solicitation No 12443922Q0006. SITE VISIT Site visit will be held by request only. Offerors are highly encouraged to visit the area to view current conditions and the complexity of the site to be mowed. This acquisition is 100% set aside for small business concerns. Interested parties should follow the instructions provided on pages 20-21 of the RFQ titled Important Notice to Offerors. This information is due no later than March 14, 2022 at 5:00 PM (EST). All interested parties are advised that registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) is required to be eligible for award of a contract. The Forest Service contemplates award of a firm-fixed price contract as a result of this combined synopsis/solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be the most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered.
