(i)This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2024-05. (iv) This procurement is set for full and open. The NAICS code is 541380. The MTDC Fire Chemicals Program has a need to evaluate 2024-T3 and Az31B alloys for intergranular corrosion after exposure to wildland fire chemical products. This testing will inform airtankers of any critical changes that may need to be addressed by their Corrosion Protection and Corrosion Prevention (CPCP) programs.
