This sources sought is being issued to determine if there is sufficient interest from qualified prime contractors who are Small Business, HUBZone small businesses, Woman Owned Small Businesses (WOSBs), 8(a) small businesses, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs), or Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSBs) and who intend to submit a proposal for this solicitation to allow for a set-aside in one of these programs. Interested small businesses MUST submit the following by e-mail to tiffay.atchison@usda.gov by, 2:00p.m. Eastern Time, April 13, 2020: Responses to this sources sought shall include the following: Company Name Address (c) Point of contact (d) Phone and email (e) DUNS number (f) Bonding Capacity (per contract) (g) Type of small business, e.g. Services Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, 8(a), HUBZone, Women Owned Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, or Small Business HUBZone business. Firms shall be certified in the in the System for Award Management (SAM) located at https://www.sam.gov/. (h) Listing of your bridge construction experience within the last 5 years where you were the prime contractor for work of similar type and scope. Include contract numbers, titles, locations, dollar amounts and a brief description. Limit of five projects. Requirement The proposed contract action is for a firm-fixed-priced construction contract that replaces a 200 ft bridge constructed in 1933 with 170 ft concrete bridge and will be concurrently improving detour route for use prior to groundbreaking at bridge site. The project is located in Monroe County, Tennessee, approximately 11 miles east of Tellico Plains on National Forest System Road 210 (Tellico River Road). Anticipated project completion October 2021. Project is estimated to be between $1 million and $5 million. NAICS Code 237310, Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction, applies to this procurement with a size standard of $36.5 million. Response Responses to this Sources Sought Notice should include all information requested in (a) through (h) above. Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach.
