The work is located on the Bankhead Ranger District's Clear Creek Campground on Lewis Smith Lake in Double Springs, AL 35553. The work to be performed by the contractor consists of, but is not limited to, removal of existing asphalt pavement, brush cutting, clearing, root removal, seeding and mulching, excavation, placement of 825B aggregate base, and the placement of new hot mix asphalt (HMA). This solicitation is a 100% HUBZone BUSINESS SET ASIDE. The resultant contract will be firm fixed priced contract issued to one contractor. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237310 Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction, with a Small business size standard of $36.5M. This construction project has a magnitude between $100,000 and $250,000. A PAYMENT BOND AND PEFORMANCE BOND IS REQUIRED. NOTE: Offeror must be ACTIVE in the System for Award Management (http://www.sam.gov) at the time solicitations are due. Those contractors not active in SAM at the time solicitations are due will be rejected and not considered for award. The resultant contract, if any, will be a firm fixed price (FFP) contract for Asphalt Trail Paving within the boundaries of the National Forests in Alabama. The work to be performed by the contractor consists of, but is not limited to, removal of existing asphalt pavement, brush cutting, clearing, root removal, seeding and mulching, excavation, placement of 825B aggregate base, and the placement of new hot mix asphalt (HMA) on two trails at the Clear Creek Campground of the National Forests in Alabama, specifically the Bankhead Ranger District on Lewis Smith Lake in Double Springs, AL. This construction project has a magnitude between $250,000 and $500,000 in accordance with FAR 36.204(e). Projects over $150,000 require a Payment and Performance Bond in accordance with FAR 28.102(a). The Government anticipates issuing this solication as a 100% HUBZone BUSINESS SET ASIDE.
